For the "in the environment" photo, we felt that it would have worked to be further away. That way you could capture the building in its position, rather than having a more portrait like picture. For the shadow picture, we really like the zig-zag like shape of the shadow on the stairs, but the angle of the camera is sort of off putting. The color image provides a lot of diversity because there are multiple different colors we see, but many of them get lost in themselves. For example the white cross on the fence blends into the white wall behind it, and the red fence melds into itself. Perhaps if you took the picture so that the cross was against the door, then the shapes would be more discernible. For the line image, it's similar to the shadow image, and we felt that had it been at a more straight on angle, it would represent the element of line better. We really liked the light picture, the shadow on the left side, and the hard shadow behind the stair rail bring focus to the section that is lit up, and it brings attention to something that might not otherwise be focused on.
I have to say that this final project has motivated me to try something new with my selfies. I was glad to pick the reflected selfie because of the services, whether curved, vibrant, or multiple reflections of me in one picture. I used my mother's vehicle as a reflection, and I loved how the red tone reflected on the selfie, including the trees in the background. My favorite portrait would have to be me holding the crystal ball and catching my reflection upside down. The multiple reflections were a unique idea because they made me think of the hall of mirrors at the Carnival. I took the other photo at the bookstore, and they have Plexiglas, where you can see my reflection. I used a pizza cutter as a reflection, and I liked how the selfie turned out with the shape of the pizza cutter. Overall this was a fun and unique selfie experience. There are many ways to make a great selfie.
