I have to say that this final project has motivated me to try something new with my selfies. I was glad to pick the reflected selfie because of the services, whether curved, vibrant, or multiple reflections of me in one picture. I used my mother's vehicle as a reflection, and I loved how the red tone reflected on the selfie, including the trees in the background. My favorite portrait would have to be me holding the crystal ball and catching my reflection upside down. The multiple reflections were a unique idea because they made me think of the hall of mirrors at the Carnival. I took the other photo at the bookstore, and they have Plexiglas, where you can see my reflection. I used a pizza cutter as a reflection, and I liked how the selfie turned out with the shape of the pizza cutter. Overall this was a fun and unique selfie experience. There are many ways to make a great selfie.
Our favorite photo overall is the texture image. We really like how crisp and detailed it is, and how vibrant the colors are with the light bouncing off of the wall. Because the end of the tunnel is shown on the left side, our attention was really brought towards the detailed part of the wall.
ReplyDeleteWe also felt that the line and shape photos would be better swapped. The shape photo has a very clear horizon line, whereas the line photo has a lot of distinct shapes within the geometry of the structure.
Even though the images are not of an actual building, we felt that they really captured the essence of what the prompts are. For example with the shadow image, much of the structure can't even be seen because of how much of it is in the shadows. Also with the In The Environment photo, you aren't taking a picture of a structure, you're taking picture a building of where the structure fits in the world by putting something in the foreground.
