I have to say that this final project has motivated me to try something new with my selfies. I was glad to pick the reflected selfie because of the services, whether curved, vibrant, or multiple reflections of me in one picture. I used my mother's vehicle as a reflection, and I loved how the red tone reflected on the selfie, including the trees in the background. My favorite portrait would have to be me holding the crystal ball and catching my reflection upside down. The multiple reflections were a unique idea because they made me think of the hall of mirrors at the Carnival. I took the other photo at the bookstore, and they have Plexiglas, where you can see my reflection. I used a pizza cutter as a reflection, and I liked how the selfie turned out with the shape of the pizza cutter. Overall this was a fun and unique selfie experience. There are many ways to make a great selfie.
We'd have to say that our favorite picture out of this collection is the first one, 'in the environment.' The distance from the building allows you to capture the entirety of the building while showing a gorgeous view of the environment in both the foreground and the background.
ReplyDeleteFor your second image, however, we feel as though you could have gotten closer to the building to provide more depth to the portrait rather than just zooming in from a far distance. On your next photo, 'line,' you definitely captured lines, but it looks more like a building that has lines rather than focusing on the lines itself. Focusing more on the prospect itself would develop a better photo for the prompt.
#4, 'shape,' definitely has an interesting study of the composition of the building. While there are obviously many shapes on the building itself, compared to the dark contrast of the silhouette of the tree, the whole image provides a unique shape that is eye-catching.
For the texture prompt, there is definitely a visible texture to the wall that you took a photograph of, however we feel that you could have built upon that and gotten closer to show a stronger visual.
You definitely use the architecture of the building to your advantage, as that seems to be a main focus for all the photos in the collection. It adds a consistency to take note of when analyzing the photographs.
