Hi Maxine, I like your photos of rhythm. You did an excellent job framing the photographs, and I loved looking at the close details. Progressive 2 had a good rhythm with the patterns of the power lines, and I liked the birds in the background. What also caught my attention was alternating 2. Alternating 2 had unique patterns of light and shadows. One critique is that I’m a little confused on progressive 1. Overall you did a great job.

Maxine, you did a really great job with this assignment. I like how in the alternating photos you used shadows and light to differentiate the subject matter as AB elements. In the progressive images you can tell that the subjects continue to repeat outside of the images. I think you have a good understanding of the undulating concept as well. I struggled with this one but I understand it better after looking at your examples of this type of pattern and rhythm. I like that you used natural and organic patterns in wood, and I like that you pushed the scale in your images and really took close up pictures, almost to the point you can’t tell what it is that you’re looking at but rather the shapes and the way light hits them. You have a good eye.
