I have to say that this final project has motivated me to try something new with my selfies. I was glad to pick the reflected selfie because of the services, whether curved, vibrant, or multiple reflections of me in one picture. I used my mother's vehicle as a reflection, and I loved how the red tone reflected on the selfie, including the trees in the background. My favorite portrait would have to be me holding the crystal ball and catching my reflection upside down. The multiple reflections were a unique idea because they made me think of the hall of mirrors at the Carnival. I took the other photo at the bookstore, and they have Plexiglas, where you can see my reflection. I used a pizza cutter as a reflection, and I liked how the selfie turned out with the shape of the pizza cutter. Overall this was a fun and unique selfie experience. There are many ways to make a great selfie.
Hi Ruby, I'll bring up some of my favorites first, then suggest an improvement that I hope might help. For your first one, I really think it does a great job of capturing an alternating rhythm. I like the angle you took your photo at but I think it could have been better if it was taken at a different time of day to get rid of those shadows. Another one I really enjoyed was progressive_04, the way the snow gently follows the lines of the tiles is a great way of representing a progressive and changing rhythm. Lastly, I think undulation_04 could have been progressive as well, I enjoy the way the spots in the snow get heavier along the right side of the frame. All in all great project and thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteRuby, I really loved looking through your pictures. It appears your pictures got mixed around in the posting. I really enjoyed your undulating_03, Progressive_05, and Alternating_05. I really loved the use of shadow and light in them as well as the close perspective. The different colors of the valves were very nice to look at. I also really like the snow shots. I think Alternating_03 would have been more impactful had you found another blue foot stool for the other side to create a continuing pattern but overall I really loved looking through your photos.
