I have to say that this final project has motivated me to try something new with my selfies. I was glad to pick the reflected selfie because of the services, whether curved, vibrant, or multiple reflections of me in one picture. I used my mother's vehicle as a reflection, and I loved how the red tone reflected on the selfie, including the trees in the background. My favorite portrait would have to be me holding the crystal ball and catching my reflection upside down. The multiple reflections were a unique idea because they made me think of the hall of mirrors at the Carnival. I took the other photo at the bookstore, and they have Plexiglas, where you can see my reflection. I used a pizza cutter as a reflection, and I liked how the selfie turned out with the shape of the pizza cutter. Overall this was a fun and unique selfie experience. There are many ways to make a great selfie.
I think you nailed it on the head. I really like the curved picture as there as there are like two curves with the road and the bridge. Cant wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteThe railroad tracks were perfect for this. I can also really tell you were thinking about the rule of thirds during this shoot as well - it's really well done in the horizontal photo especially! The textures in diagonal are really interesting, but the upper left corner draws a lot of focus. It might be cool to experiment with cropping it a little tighter to emphasize the focal point(s). Really excited to see the rest of your shots!
ReplyDeleteHello Veronica,
ReplyDeleteI think the image you had for leading lines is the best one, following the guidelines of the project perfectly. You also seem to be implementing habits learned for our rule of thirds project as well in the rest of them. Keep it up!
Veronica, thanks for sharing. Your “horizon” image is powerful. The stop light pulls my eye across the picture. I like the colors and the way that you pushed the scale on the “vertical” picture. You have a creative eye.
